Let’s Get Started

December 7, 2007

This blog is a form of therapy. Back in 2004, I ran for Congress to represent Marin and Sonoma Counties just north of San Francisco. I ran knowing that I couldn’t win. But I promised myself years ago that when I was of age, I would do it. So I did.

I’m a Democrat and a proud Liberal. However, I’ve found that I’m not like the other liberals I see here in Northern California. We agree on most if not all policy issues. What we don’t agree on is the use of misdirected anger and not taking responsibility for the ineffectiveness of our Democratic leaders. My fellow liberals, in my humble opinion, spend far to much time, energy, and stupidity pointing fingers are Pres. Bush and his cohorts for doing what comes natural to them. I know it’s good for raising campaign money but it’s a serious form of intellectual and elitest arrogance when winning elections trumps governmental responsibilities. I know all the excuses but the proof in in the pudding. It’s a question of rhetoric versus results.

So that’s why I’m doing this. The main point is to get a conversation going. No it’s not. It’s about me and my need for therapy. But if you jump in and want to talk, you are most welcome. So jump in and let me know what you think.

Thanks for dropping by.
