$700 Billion? Really?

Isn’t it amazing how much we don’t know? Does anyone have any faith that our political leaders and federal monetary pros have any idea what they’re doing? Echoes of false pre-Iraq assessments fill my brain when I hear these people say “we have to do this!” Really, do we?

I’m sitting here watching the cable networks, CNBC, Fox Financial, MSNBC, and of course CNN. I’m learning nothing. Only expanding my initial confusion. What about you?

So here’s what I’m prepared to do. And I’m a small business owner with two kids in college. Middle American is me.

1. Storm the Bastille and all that comes with the implications of storming the Bastille.
2. I would justify my actions on the calls for revolution by Thomas Jefferson. How’s that for foundation?
3. I would pull Congressional leaders out of their marble lined offices and onto Independence and Constitution Avenues.
4. Then hold mock trials and convict them of treason and sedition for failing to do their jobs.
5. And in the end, I would accept a period of total anarchy in order to resent the system which has obviously become not only corrupt but destructive to normal working class citizens.

So there. What about you? Care to name a date and join me on the steps of Capitol Hill pitchforks and torches in hand? After we’re done, we’ll head over to media headquarters and hold a few talking heads accountable while we’re at it.

Oh, did I say I’m an upper middle class father of two? Yep, that’s me.
